The Maharlika Jeepney Concept

Giving the long overdue nobility back to the un-inspired Filipino Jeepney...

The Maharlika concept is a fresh concept aimed to bring the Filipino Jeepney into the forefront of Global Design.

The concept does not intend to veer away from traditional values... this is why all the salient lines and profile elements of the old is retained but viewed and imagined with the approach adhering to symetry and pleasing but functional aesthetics.

The geometric structure also suggests manufacturability and doable manual prototyping.

... I hope you enjoy it.

Rate it... comment on it... Thank you for watching.

P.S.

I have been contemplating on facelifting the jeepney since year 2000... I made some sketches in past but never really went into modeling it. Again inspiration took over last night and - it just hit me. I have to do it now.

It took me about 5 hours to model it in 3D as well as putting it in video animation - plus about 15 minutes to upload it here,

Inspiration + Imagination + Hands on Experience + Basics of Design = something really cool.

This is just my own opinion.

This is just a design excercise... in other words... Just playing around with some free time in my hands.
